Walter Brandes (AEA) has acted in NY, CT, DC, SC, KS, & MO. Some favorite roles include Master Ford from Merry Wives of Windsor; Foustka from Temptation; Guildenstern from Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead; Cassio from Othello; Antonio from The Tempest; Angelo from Measure For Measure; Augustus Caesar from I, Cluadius Live; and Ephikhodof from The Cherry Orchard. echaseEric Chase* (Lord Capulet)
Eric Chase is happy to be playing Lord Capulet with TheatreRats. He is a member of Bakerloo Theatre Project, Emerging Artists Theatre Company, and Actors Equity. Favorite Shakespearean roles include a couple attempts at Ross in Macbeth, the title Role of Macbeth, Brutus in Caesar, a few bouts at Romeo, as well as Prince, Peter, the Apothecary in Romeo and Juliet, Puck in Midsummer, Horatio in Hamlet. Thanks to cast a crew for great fun.


mdarnellMichael Kevin Darnall* (Benvolio)
This is Darnall's second production with TheatreRats, having appeared in The Third Annual Chester Horn Short Play Festival. Darnall is a graduate of SUNY Purchase's Acting Conservatory where he performed in plays such as Balm in Gilead (Franny), The Grapes of Wrath (Al), The Oresteia (Aegisthus), and Hamlet (Hamlet). Professional credits include: Arden (Spring Theatreworks), Beyond Therapy (Abingdon Theatre), The Sand Storm (MetroStage), The Wire (HBO), readings, short films, and print campaigns. cdaviesCaitlin Davies* (Juliet)
Caitlin is thrilled to be performing with TheatreRats. Regional credits include: The Crucible (Capital Repertory Theatre), The Secret Garden, The Winter’s Tale, The Heiress, and Little Women (Peterborough Players). NYC credits: Dark of the Moon, Men, and What are Words Worth to a Long Fellow?. Caitlin has performed in NYC readings and workshops with The Barrow Group, Phoenix Theatre Ensemble, and the Holderness Company. A big thank you to cast, crew, and audience.


gengbrechtGreg Engbrecht (Sampson/Apothecary)
Greg Engbrecht is pleased to be working with TheatreRats for the first time.  He has worked in NYC as a stage manager and actor, most recently performing with the Fort Hill Players.  Off-Off Broadway credits include: Love Gods, Richard II, and The Tragedy of John.  Film:  Don't Laugh at other People's Sex (NYFA), Unoccupied Zone (Polyvinyl Films).  Thanks to Mrs. H for getting him into this whole mess.

A native of London, Rachel has been a proud TheatreRats company member since 2005. Her recent credits include an angry cricket in 'In the Jar' with TheatreRats' Chester Horn Short Play Festival (for which she received an audience award), an angry reindeer in 'The Eight: Reindeer Monologues' (Dysfunctional Theatre Company) and a Singing Spy (not angry) in 'Hooray for What!' (Medicine Show Theatre). Thanks and big love to Mike and Alexis for their belief in her, the awesome cast, and her heart and soul, Vince.

Romeo and Juliet marks Cedric Jones' second performance with TheatreRats, after appearing as Jasperino in The Changeling. Some other New York credits include: Hurt So Good (Point of You Productions), GUY PRIDE! A Musical Revue (Great Young Minds, LLC), The Happiest Girl in the World (Medicine Show Theatre), Screwing Rachel (NY Artists Unlimited) and Aesop (Cube City Entertainment). Jones' first book of poetry, I Wear The Colour Green, is due to be released this summer.

bkatondonegalBrendon Katon-Donegal (Abram)
Brendon Katon-Donegal feels blessed to have the privilege to learn from and work with this wonderful cast. A classically trained graduate of Marymount Manhattan College, he is working in every medium of the industry doing voiceover's, hosting a talk show; "Get Connected", performing in feature & independent films and television series. Highlights include "P.S. I Love You", "Law & Order", and "Book of Songs". In November, he will perform a one-man-show as Sammy Davis, Jr.

Rachel McPhee moved to Manhattan after training in the UK at the Drama Studio London. Favorite roles include: Lucy Three Penny Opera, Hermione The Winter's Tale, Silvia Fowler The Women, and Miss Nelson/Viola Swamp Miss Nelson Has a Field Day. Rachel is a founding member of The LoudMouthed Malcontents, for which she produced  and acted in two play readings this year The Minervae and Canticle of the Sun. Currently, she is producing/acting in Quake  by Melanie Marnich, with her other company, On The Square Productions. Rachel loves improvisation and takes classes with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Thanks to Aaliyah, Debs, Jax, Michael, Mom and Dad for constant love and unending support.

Native New Yorker, Elia has spent the past two years teaching 6th Grade in Spanish Harlem. New York credits include, 'Flashback (Ensemble Studio Theatre), 'See Something Say Something' (La Mama) and various work with The Tricksters (Exit/Art). Elia also currently works with HAI as a teaching artist. Elia would like to thank her acting coach, Anne Ratray for her endless support and knowledge and her family for their insistence that she follow her dream.

Brandi Rhome is a Meisner and Classically trained actress, and a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Her recent credits include, Queen Elizabeth, Richard III (Foolish Mortals), Lucia, Trojan Women (Classical Theatre of Harlem), Helena, A Midsummer Nights Dream (Tuckaberry Productions), Luciana, Comedy of Errors (Curious Frog Productions), and Orlando, As You Like it (Hip to Hip Productions). This is Brandi's first production with The Theatre Rats. She would like to thank everyone involved for all of their hard work, and is thrilled to have to opportunity to play for you.

rsalazarReza Salazar (John)
By age three, Reza Salazar was well on his way to a brilliant performance career performing in community theater in Argentina alongside his real-life mother.  He began his professional career at age nine with "El Taller de Teatro Espacio."  He moved to the United States at 14 and continued to act in projects including the independent films "Shiny," "51st State," and "Headphonica."  An avid musician as well, he has also played music with several groups including El Viento Canta, Color Latino and Raices. Theater credits: Sonnets for and Old Century, Speak Truth to Power, Straight Chasers. TV credits: Nuestro Barrio, Law and Order, and Law and Order CI.

pschuylerPeter Schuyler (Nurse)
Peter is an actor, singer, producer, director, and writer working in NY’s indie theatre scene since 2001.    He  played the titular role in Titus X,  Shawn Northrip’s punk rock musical version of Shakespeare’s bloodiest tragedy from 2004 to 2007, and played Strom Thurmond’s father in Thomas Bradshaw’s Strom Thurmond is Not a Racist  at the The Brick (both were NYIT award nominees). He recently directed Mastiphicus Meglodon at Under St Marks, his directing debut.  He is a board member of Native Aliens Theatre Collective and an associated artist with Dysfunctional Theatre Co, and The Immediate Theater Company.  He is a graduate of Northern Arizona University. Thanks to the Rats, the cast, his Dad, and Dawn.

John has performed at Manhattan Theater Ensemble, the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, and Danisarte. He's excited to be making his debut with the TheateRats. Much love to the SABA players and to his brother Harry for all his support and patience.

ywalkerYanni Walker (Gregory/1st Guard)
Yanni Walker is originally from Los Angeles; and has been a student of acting for about nine years now. Yanni first discovered his passion for the performing arts while attending Goldenwest College in Huntington Beach. After a semester of acting class he was encouraged to audition for the upcoming production of “Of Mice and Men.” After winning the role of George, he participated in several other plays including “Our Town”, and “Clue.” Soon after that he was accepted into the Carter Thor Studio in Hollywood; where he continued to develop his craft as a professional actor for five years, under the coaching of Cameron Thor. Since then Yanni has appeared in over 20 other theater productions and films, in both LA and NYC. Yanni just finished shooting a national “Coors Light” spot; and has recently worked on such television shows such as “Guiding Light” and the hit FX show “Rescue Me.”
